10 companies advanced to the OFFICE ROKA finals

10 companies advanced to the OFFICE ROKA finals

Up to 30 companies applied for the current year of the OFFICE ROKA competition. A five-member expert jury evaluated and rated the individual spaces and agreed on the top ten that will advance to the finals. The registered projects once again brought new ideas, inspirations and solutions to the administrative sector. Let's mention, for example, architecturally sensitively rebuilt rooms with respect for the original state, conceptual layouts for a hybrid work style, reuse of original furniture, treadmills behind adjustable tables, a hidden bed in the relaxation room, as well as clever ways to quickly divide spaces.

I am glad that so many companies entered the competition this year. This is proof that the interest in a quality working environment is constantly increasing. The pandemic has helped people realize how much the space in which they spend time affects them. Employers who work, for example, with elements of biophilic design, which help reduce stress and increase productivity, are beginning to reflect on this. We had the opportunity to see imaginative spaces and offices, whether they were small companies or corporations.

We present you the finalists

The original approach creates unique spaces

The premises of the ten finalists confirm that companies are paying more and more attention to workplaces. They are the company's first business card in front of partners and clients. However, they are also a key part of employer branding and company culture. The extremely positive news is that the finalists approached the creation of spaces with respect for their own history, their own DNA, but also with respect for the history of the place and the buildings. Each space is so unique. In the course of April, all premises will be personally visited by a jury composed of: Mgr. Milena Bobeková, PhD., owner and manager of ALPE Euroservice s.r.o.®, Ing. Peter Gróf, Head of Workplace Strategy at CBRE Slovakia, Ing. arch. Lukáš Kordík, co-founder of the GutGut studio, who leads the Kordík Studio at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University, prof. Ing. Veronika Kotradyová, PhD., pedagogue, researcher and project manager, Faculty of Architecture and Design STU in Bratislava and Mgr. Michal Matloň, an architectural psychologist who works at theLivingCore.

After visiting the premises of the finalists, he will select the winners in the usual four categories: Innovative office, Office as a company's DNA, Healthy office and Absolute winner OFFICE OF THE YEAR. Let's remember last year's winners https://www.officeroka.sk/vitazi
